Fault analysis and troubleshooting

Pressing the start button, the device does not start

Check if the mergency stop switch is turned on, if the key switch is turned on, if the base of the platform touches the limit, and whether the platform and the laser are in standby state.

The laser does not fire and screen shows“ Abnormal temperature”

It is caused by temperature of the laser exceeding the allowable range, the laser shuts down automatically. Restart after several minutes of shutdown. If the alarm is still on, please check if the main cabinet cooling fan is blocked or not activated.

The laser does not fire, but the power display is normal

Check the indicator lights on both sides of the power display screen. When the laser light ( the red one at right side) is on and the power indicator ( left side) is off, it indicates that the laser starts protection state because the laser temperature is too high. Turn it off for a few minutes and then turn it back on. The machine is on, and then turn on the laser once the heat of the laser is appropriately decreased.

Platform doesn’t response when press the button on keyboard

Check if the equipment is on, if the antenna is well plugged in, if the power switch of the remote control is on, and whether the remote control battery is dead.

No display on the remote control screen 

Check if the remote control switch is on, whether the data line is plugged in or loosened, if the SD card is plugged in, and if the remote control battery is dead.

How to clean the equipment

In order to ensure system works normally, it is necessary to carry out daily cleaning and maintenance of the equipment. This machine is a precision equipment, which requires extra care in maintenance. After each usage, clean it with powder-free rubber gloves, velvet-free cleaning cloth and cotton swabs, pure ethanol, alcohol (optical grade, purity greater than 99.5%), compressed air (oil-free, water-free) and other tools. Place the laser aiming head back into the main cabinet after wiping off the shell of it, the platform, display and so on. Please refer to the product instructions for details.

This product belongs to Class 4 laser products. It can produce dangerous diffused reflection, which may cause personal injury or fire. Be very careful when using it. Before using, installing, operating and maintaining this product, please read the complete instructions and safety tips to ensure safe and proper use.

Because the laser is dangerous, the laser obstacle remover can only be operated by trained professionals, and can only be used for cleaning the targeted obstacle, otherwise it may cause serious danger such as personal injury, property damage and even fire.

When the laser obstacle remover is working, it is strictly forbidden to pass by people or other non-target objects on the laser path in order to avoid causing personal injury, damage to articles, or fire.

1.   It is forbidden to look directly at any kind of laser beams (including direct, specular and diffused) with naked eyes. Laser beams will enter the eyes directly, and may cause damage to the eyes and blindness in serious cases.

2.  Directly pointing on laser beams or laser beams after specular reflection or diffuse reflection is prohibited. During operation, do not extend your hand or other parts of the body into the processing area, otherwise skin burns may occur.

3.  When entering the laser processing control area (with laser radiation), must wear laser protective goggles. Corresponding protective goggles are selected according to different laser wavelength and irradiation amount.

4.  It is forbidden to mark on materials with high reflectivity in order to prevent the specular reflection of the laser beam from causing damage to equipment or operators.

5.  Do not place the laser beam path on the same height as the operator's eyes. Use a high-temperature light absorber as a baffle to prevent laser leakage.

6. Disassembling or restructuring equipment by users is strictly prohibited. Safety accidents and equipment failures caused by non-professional personnel dismantling, repairing and transforming the equipment do not fall within the scope of warranty.

7. Do not use this equipment in the presence of vibration, shock or strong electromagnetic interference sources. Vibration and electromagnetic interference will affect the processing accuracy and may damage the equipment.

8. Ensure that there is enough space around the equipment when it is in use and that the ventilation conditions are appropriate. If the equipment’s working space ventilation is insufficient and the exhaust air doesn’t not circulate continuously at the entrance, the increased temperature inside the equipment may cause damage to the equipment.

Areas that may be directly or indirectly irradiated by lasers are designated as control areas. Obvious warning indicators and blocking devices need be set around the control areas to ensure that outsiders and irrelevant personnel are not allowed to enter at will.

In the working area of laser equipment, pay attention to any damage to eyes and skin may be caused by laser. Please wear protective glasses at any time to prevent accidental exposure to laser radiation.

Laser safety administrators are responsible for the safety management of equipment. They should have rich knowledge and experience in the use of laser equipment and the prevention of laser radiation hazards.

The responsibilities of the laser safety administrator are as follows:

1.    Put forward the relevant preventive measures of laser radiation and formulate the corresponding safety management system.

2.    Set up the working area of laser processing (the dangerous area around laser radiation) and isolate it from other areas effectively.

3.    Set up clear warning signs in the laser processing control area.

4.    Manage the laser power switch’s key.

5.    Check the working status of protective equipment

SPT Laser's responsibility is limited to free maintenance and replacement of equipment confirmed as defective under warranty.
